I have been teaching high school math for 15 years. I don’t know about science but English and History teachers have a tough job. They have to read and decipher all the rubbish that students put on the page. c. I grade SAT essays like a part-time job. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. Headache !!!!! In Math, there is a right and wrong answer. There are no comments from SJW here. I will block them. Math with right or wrong answer Not very subjective. It makes debating points much easier. You can give the same essay to 5 different teachers and get 5 different marks. In math, a portion of the credit is not counted because of the wrong garbage disposal, students get the same score.

Debating grades with parents is easier. “You have a bias, you don’t like my child, you don’t like my child’s views on this topic” are not long discussions. Now if you asked which is the hardest to teach, I might have had a different answer. You should always use recommendations from people who know you well, think you’re a really talented part of their class/work environment/organization/team/whatever, personally. Like you and know how to write proposals. Don’t use recommendations from people who are famous and powerful but don’t know you well – admissions committees aren’t impressed with people trying to get in. Don’t use suggestions from people who don’t know you in the most appropriate context – for example, your boss at a fast food joint or a gym teacher who can’t say much about history or calculus skills.
